Rock barring has established itself as a viable, cost effective and efficient way of clearing loose debris and rogue rocks off mine high walls and rock faces.  We have been doing this since 2002 for a number of projects ranging from the granddaddy of them all, Chapman’s Peak Drive, to the high altitude icy conditions of the Letseng Diamond Mine in Lesotho.

Work is carried out by qualified rope access technicians who are experienced in these kinds of operations.  Needless to say, the work can be hazardous if not managed correctly – working below an area that has not been properly cleaned will place the rope access technician in harm’s way – and as such it is important that the crew is well trained and has an understanding of what needs to be done and how to go about it to prevent accidents.

The rope access crews are supported by our professional staff who are able to make an assessement of the geotechnical conditions prevailing on the site and direct operations and ensure the safety of personnel.

We will support your mining operations and assist with obtaining a clean audit when the DMR comes visiting.  Call us on 082 926 0626
